Invest in Your Children — Invest in Montera
The Montera Parent-Teacher Organization funds school needs big and small not covered by the school budget — from essential things like books and classroom supplies to the extras that enrich students' lives, like field trips and music programs. We can't do it without you —your tax-deductible donation ensures that our kids keep on getting the things they need to thrive. Your donation helps sustain our success, including our recognition as a California Distinguished School.
The school budget does not cover many of Montera's vital needs. The PTO does — with your support. Here’s a sampling of the essential programs, activities and clubs the PTO funds or supports:
- Teacher stipends (given to all Montera teachers to cover necessary classroom expenses)
- Teacher and staff mini-grants for events and supplies
- Computers and technology equipment
- Librarian and books
- Campus grounds and sports field improvements
- Sports — coordinator, team fees, and equipment
- Music program (purchasing and repairing instruments)
- Student scholarships to participate in fee-based programs
- Organizational Planners for every student
- Field trips
- And more!
100% Participation Goal
We recognize that every family has different resources. We welcome your 100% tax-deductible contribution at absolutely any level - every dollar counts. If you can't donate money, please consider volunteering your time to help with a fundraiser like the school benefit, or participating in a no-cost-to-you fundraising program like SHARES.
Matching Donations are Free Money

Annual Giving
Two Easy Ways to Donate:
- The PTO’s annual budget for the school year is $175,000 and supports our programs and initiatives. We are asking families to give what they can. Suggested donation is $450 per student. Donations range from $10-$2,000. Make a one-time or monthly donation online via PayPal:
