8th Grade Activities

8th Grade Student Events 2023-2024
- Six Flags Discovery Kingdom:
Date: Thursday, March 28
Time: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Transportation: Buses leave from and back to Montera (back parking lot)
All 8th graders are invited, as long as they meet behavior expectations
Please ensure you have submitted the permission slip
Chaperones: Teachers and parents
Food Plan: $$ or sack lunch
A payment of $25 per student is requested, which partially covers the cost of the trip
- 8th Grade Dinner Dance:
Date: Saturday, May 11
Time: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: Montera MUR
Attire: Formal attire encouraged
Requirements: Permission slip required
Chaperones: Chaperones will be needed
Tickets: $10
- Picnic in the Park:
Date: Friday, May 17
Time: 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Transportation: Buses leave from and back to Montera
Location: Roberts Regional Park in Oakland
Participants: All 8th graders invited, as long as they meet behavior expectations
Requirements: Permission slip required
Chaperones: Teachers and parents are chaperoning
Refreshments: Lunch provided, donations for drinks and snacks requested
- 8th Grade Promotion:
Date: Wednesday, May 22
Time: 3:00 PM
Location: Rawley Theater, Skyline High School
(Students need to arrive at 2:00 PM)

We understand that not all families can contribute the full amount — please give what you're able to. No student will be turned away due to lack of finances.
